Question 1

Who is Lotwhistle for?

Accepted Answer

Lotwhistle is intended for South African car dealerships that want help managing early WhatsApp conversations with prospective vehicle buyers. The offer is designed around a dealership team and its salespeople.

Question 2

What is the WhatsApp receptionist intended to handle?

Accepted Answer

The intended offer covers vehicle enquiries and basic buyer questions using dealership information, then helps buyers move toward a visit or a salesperson. The current build does not receive or send WhatsApp messages: its vehicle and FAQ records and reply drafts are internal tools, and drafts are not sent.

Question 3

Can it arrange appointments and send reminders?

Accepted Answer

Helping arrange dealership appointments and send reminders is part of the intended offer. The current app has internal appointment booking, but automatic WhatsApp confirmations and reminders are not connected, so it does not message buyers about a booking today.

Question 4

Does Lotwhistle follow up with buyers?

Accepted Answer

Follow-up is part of the intended receptionist offer. Automatic WhatsApp follow-up is not wired into the current build. A reply draft can be prepared in the internal workspace for a salesperson to review, but the draft is not dispatched to the buyer.

Question 5

How does a salesperson handoff work?

Accepted Answer

The intended flow passes a useful buyer conversation to a salesperson when a person should take over. The current app supports manual assignment of internal leads, but it does not hand off a WhatsApp chat or message because no WhatsApp connection is active.

Question 6

Can I connect a dealership WhatsApp number or activate the receptionist now?

Accepted Answer

The current build has no WhatsApp provider connection, provider credential source, or verified dealership-number linking flow. A dealership number cannot currently be connected and the receptionist cannot be activated through the app. Creating an account alone does not activate the service; new accounts remain locked.

Question 7

What does Lotwhistle cost, and can I pay online?

Accepted Answer

A monthly amount is not configured. Checkout is disabled in the current app, so there is no working self-service purchase or activation path. Email Lotwhistle to ask about current pricing and availability; no activation timeline is published.
